Things To Do In & Around Foxland Harbor
Sitting on the Old Hickory Lake shoreline, boating and water sports enthusiasts will enjoy easy access to everything from fishing and water-skiing to cruising by making their home in the Foxland Harbor community.
A man-made reservoir, Old Hickory Lake is over 97 miles long and is formed by the Old Hickory Lock and Dam. Built between 1952 to 1954, the dam and lock were completed in full with the installation of the final hydroelectric unit in 1957.
Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, studies have shown Old Hickory Lake to be one of the cleanest in Tennessee. The Corps offers the unique opportunity to tour the Old Hickory Lakes Locks and Dam this summer in June and August, with admittance by application only.
On a nice day, you'll find wakeboarders, wakesurfers, water-skiers, jet-skiers, and kayakers most anywhere on the lake. The area where Foxland Harbor is located in one of the most desired locations for water sports.
Housed in the Foxland Harbour Clubhouse, The Foxland Southern Grill offers unique dining and private room experiences. At the front are lake view rooms with original fireplaces and access to the front and side porches. The Baber Room is adjacent to the Grand Cypress bar and used for dining and private events. The outside courtyard offers open-air lake view dining and is available for private events.
The championship golf course is designed to meet the expectations of advanced level golfers as well as those playing a casual round. The course features Cavalier Zoysia fairways, Bermuda roughs, A-1 Bent Grass greens and measures 7,200 yards from the back tees. Foxland Harbor is a classic design, following the terrain along Old Hickory Lake. Foxland Harbor’s Turf Care Team works year round to provide supreme course conditions, from the pristine entrance to clubhouse grounds and course.
Foxland Harbor Fitness Center makes your health and wellness a priority. The fitness center is situated on a bluff overlooking the lake for you to enjoy while utilizing cardio, cable and free weight equipment, or one of the many aerobics classes.
